Most of us "The Game" fans know by now that the two main characters of the show - Melanie and Derwin will no longer be with us. Speculation and rumors tell us that the reason is because they're not being paid enough.
Either way, I have to say I'm disappointed. Despite the fact that I haven't been in love with the show as I used to be when it moved from the CW to BET, I felt like the plot was finally beginning to get good! Melanie going to Johns Hopkins and Derwin deciding to follow her, Tasha Mack got a man, Malik is back on the field and contributed to the Sabers winning the championship, and of course Jason Pitts and Chardonnay. It seemed to me like the characters were finally starting to come into their own and were heading in the right direction - a direction I wanted to see.
I can't say I'm too confident in the turn the show will take without Melanie and Derwin. Although the other characters have some good story lines to grow from, Mr. and Mrs. Davis have always been the center of the plot. Then again maybe I'm just impartial to change but do you think it will it work without them? Guess we'll all just have to wait and see!
