As we all know, with the new year comes new years resolutions and I'm positive that the number one resolution every year is to lose weight. As soon as January 1st hits, every gym in America is filled with people trying to keep up with their resolution to get in shape. But how many of us every really keep up with these new found commitments?
Surely we'd all like to commit our selves to hitting the gym consistently but in real life who has the time. Between demanding careers, busy schedules, and overall life, that is just unrealistic. This is the reason why I personally prefer working out at home.
When I work out at home I know that there aren't any time constraints to when I have to squeeze in my workout. After all, most gyms are not open 24/7. Also I know that at home, I can be comfortable. I don't need to be intimidated by the other people working harder than me or that make me feel self conscious. Working out at home has always been my preference.
I recently decided that I really wanted to get into the best shape of my life. I want to be truly healthy and rather than putting extreme pressure on myself to look a certain way or denying myself of things that I like, I wanted to learn how to eat the right way, still enjoy what I like from time to time, and maintain an exercise regimen that I could follow without wanting to quit during the first 3 day hump period.
About two weeks ago I started working out with turbo fire. I wanted to find a workout program that would challenge but that I would also enjoy doing. The fact that I have made it this far definitely makes me feel that I have found what I've been looking for.
What I love about turbo fire is that the workouts are intense, but they are so much fun. The music is engaging and makes you want to keep up with the choreography and push yourself harder. I never finish a class without breaking an extreme sweat, and once it's all over I feel like I really accomplished something. Those endorphin's from the adrenaline rush really motivate to do it again the next day.
Chalean as the instructor is a great motivator as well. Rather than yelling at you to keep going in a "drill sergeant" manner, she she says things to make you feel like you can give a little more and push yourself a little harder. Her positive attitude makes the workout a fun experience.
